Merlin’s Pals Malham Cove Ramble
The next Merlin’s Pals Monthly long walk takes us into the North Yorkshire National Park of Malham.
The circular route takes in Janets Foss Waterfall, Gordale Scar and the Cove of Malham across the limestone top of the cove where one of the Harry Potter films was shot. Its approximately 5. miles in distance and should take just over 2 hours to complete. There is a small amount of uphill gradient and the limestone can get quite slippery, so ensure that you bring good walking footwear with a good grip and ankle support. There is plenty of river to be drunk and swam in for the furries. Journey time by car from Burnley to Malham is around an hour.
We will rendezvous at 10am from the main visitor Car Park in Barrowford (across from George & Dragon pub before heading off in convoy to Malham. As usual all are welcome and if you know anyone that can’t make it themselves but would like the exercise for their dog then please let them know we can take them for £25 for the day (collect and return)
